How Can I Avoid Ugly Vistas Like This?

Not sure if this is the right section or not, but ...

I'm looking for a mod or a tweak that will make distant vistas look better than the screenshot below

I've tweaked my enb config to the point where I think everything looks great ... EXCEPT distant scenes like this. Those trees look like a three year old cut them out of construction paper and glued them on to my screen. The strangely illuminated water and jagged shoreline don't help either ...

What I would like to do is just mask/blur that whole thing with fog, so that it doesn't look so hideous ...

Or if I could make the yellow trees not stand out so much ... make them less distinct, somehow ..

Is there a mod or a tweak that will let me do this? Or can you think of another way to make it look better?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

To do that you need to mod your view-range, what you see there is just LOD. you can get a mod that will increase and sharpen the distance lod texture, but will do nothing to LOD trees. You can also get a mod to increase the view-range, but this will break your performance drasticly, but they have different settings you can choose from, the lowest increases a little more view-range with minimal fps loss while the others will drop fps hard.

I do not know about adding fog to distort your view, setting your view range to the minimal might do it? I have not tried medium or low settings in skyrim, so i honestly don't know if lower settings will fog out a lot of the LOD.

Yeah, sight range...starts to push up against the boundaries of machines. To get it cleaner, the game needs to render a LOT more detail (ie, everything in that scene approximating it's close range textures), which is obviously a massive amount of data. I would be incredibly surprised if there was a workaround, since Beth is no doubt aware of how it looks...and they can't fix it, despite having designed the engine.
