Stubborn Mannequins

So, I tried searching the web for a while, but I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem...

I've been altering my house in Riften with the console, and recently I added some (mini-)mannequins to the picture.

So far so good, used tai command to make them stop, openactorcontainer 1 to give them the stuff, and I set their place all nice and neatly, there's just one problem: when I load the game, they seem to revert to some position.

The position is always the same, and is not always the place they spawned at. Most of them are places I was experimenting with.

Does this only happen with me? Am I doing something wrong?

Please help :x

P.S.: Here's a screenshot of how it looks like when they behave: >CLICK ME<

You are probably trying to place that NPC in an area that you built that is not nav meshed (the data that tells NPCs where they are allowed to be and how to move through a cell). No matter what you do, you will not be able to solve this issue until you build the new area in the toolset and create a navmesh for it. But then, properly placing/linking mannequins will be able to be done with the toolset.

It'd be weird if that was the issue since I had also placed mannequins on the house floor before, on a different save game, and it happened there as well...

I know the CK is a few days away, but yeah, If I could get a solution before that it'd be great xP

You can't properly place and link up the parts that make up a mannequin with the console. And what you are trying I have never heard of anyone being really successful with. I really don't think you are going to get this before the toolset.

It isn't a Navmesh issue, but it is a persistent issue. You won't be able to tell it to always activate at a certain spot unless you have an activator controlled by an Xmarker placed where you want the Mannequin to always activate.

The Mannequins, its activator, it's xmarker pointing to where it is activated, all need to be persistent otherwise it will never work like you want to.

That said. Even Persistent Mannequins don't work right. Trying to add more to Dovahkiin Hideout and it is near impossible without breaking something...

I know your pain, my game crashed some times when placing them... (good mod btw)

Anyway, thanks guys, guess there's no other way except to wait for the CK...
