kingchris20
I was wondering if this is possible. There are numerous times I get separated from my follower, some of these times include my follower getting "stuck" in one spot or maybe even dying. I have Midas magic with the resurrect spell and there was a time where I lost my follower in alftand and didn't really notice it until later in the area, by that time I kept going hoping he would show up after entering a new area or waiting, but he never did. So I had to retrace my steps for several minutes looking for him, finally found him dead and resurrected him. Another time I lost my follower in blackreach! I spent an extremely long time looking for him only to find him standing on a rock and couldn't move, all he could do was pivot, I don't know what that was about, but I finally told him I didn't need him anymore and then asked him to follow me again, that at least got him out of whatever kind of glitch that was. Anyway, both of these times would have been much quicker if my follower had some sort of marker visible from the compass and map. I think it would be annoying to have the marker over his head all the time, and I don't know if there is a way to put a marker on the compass and map without it being over his head all the time or not. But it would be nice either way to have a constant marker for the follower. Does anyone know how to do this? If someone wants to do it that would be cool, or if someone knows how and can point me in the direction of doing it myself, that would be cool too.... BananaThug
i like that. it would help, but i would rather see a huge mod fixing and making somethings about companions just 'better'. Such as being able to command them with out having to speak to them, or adding something so that you can tell them how to fight, archery, melee, magic, defense, offense, etc. And as always them getting in the way randomly during fights makes me want to pull my hair out so that could be fixed. I think a massive companion fix is in order.
kingchris20
Yes I 100% agree about the follower overhaul, just thought there might be a quick and easy way to do this to hold us over... Maybe not, it seems the only way to even accomplish this is to make each follower a simple quest giver, quest starts when you ask them to followe you, and quest ends when you send them home, which is not a permanent fix by any means....but it could help a little until someone can do a complete overhaul... wazzdakka
I would love this - I actually found this topic while searching specifically to see if someone had already posted it. If my follower was like a blue blip on my compass, it'd make finding her SO much easier. Lydia disappeared on me once in the middle of a cave and didn't show up again for like 7 in-game days. kingchris20
Ok so here's what I'm trying to do - I want to make it so that anytime a potential follower is asked to follow it starts a misc quest, and when the follower is told they are no longer needed it ends the misc quest. I want to make it recurring so the quest always starts again when you ask a potential follower to follow you. I only want this so that my follower can have a marker over them, and so I can control when the marker is on them by checking it in my misc quest log. I notices that there is a quest in the CK called "DialogueFollower" (part of the blades recruiting) and I was thinking that maybe I can use that as a template since it already contains all the follower dialouge, but I am at a complete loss on how to do this, anybody got any pointers for me?
