sharpeningrod Posted March 8, 2017 Share Posted March 8, 2017 I'd love to see different effects on the caster's hand depending on what kind of spell they have in-hand. Just like in Bioshock Infinite (or even just Bioshock). These are just ideas for equipping spells while idle, so it shouldn't override most Mage animation mods. Fire spells: Palms facing the screen.Palm areas and fingers are partially charred.Slight twitching of fingers from pain. Lightning spells:Electricity running up and down the players hands.Twitching from the wrists, fingers are contracted in place.Charging spells would have partially clenched fingers, wrist bent inwards. Freeze spells:....frozen hand.Charging spells give a "crunching ice" sound effect because of frozen fingers. You can probably make something more creative than this. I'm sure you can. Just thought of this on a whim. While on the topic of painful spells, has someone ever made a Destruction spell mod where a perk would allow you to deal more damage for a slight HP cost? That would be pretty cool. It will allow you to level up Restoration spells in the process too. Something like "Deal 15% more damage with Destruction spells.
