Mod Request

I'm looking for a mod that removes race restriction from Vitaars mainly the descent one.

 

I know a mod like that exists, I've seen a human wearing that vitaar in some video a while back.

 

I'm sick of playing qunari characters already and i'd like to keep using the vitaar :P

 

Anyone can share that mod or point me in the direction where i can find it?

Hmm, I know no mod which make the Vitaar available for all races or I can't remember to have seen such a mod like that. Maybe the mod of the mentioned character was a mod only for personal use or it was this one, which replace the tattoos for human with one of the Vitaar:

I don't know whether it's possible to take it 1:1 for other races. If so, you just have to tinker a lot and some things will be distorted, displaced or it simply looks different than the original, because qunari have quite different sizes and shapes. Therefore - just for example - they don't share the same complexions as elves, human and dwarves. Maybe someone is working on it or has found such a mod somewhere. :smile:

Found the vid i've seen it on.

As you can see the person is using descent vitaar on human and when he/she mouseovers it you can see "Restriction Elf, dwarf or human"

Perhaps as you said it's for personal use :)

Shame, i don't want to play another qunari run :D

Ah, ok that's the "Cretahl Vitaar" and it's a unique vitaar from the DLC: The Descent and this one is also just "Qunari-Trained only". Maybe he/she uses a mod like that, which removes the race restriction on helmets:

Or he/she has removed it by itself just for some vitaar, because also this way doesn't work with all helmets. =/

Two things to keep in mind with vitaar.

 

1 They take up the helm slot on a qunari character.

 

2 They are specifically designed for the qunari face.

 

I think you need to be more specific in what you want, and why you want it. Do you specifically want a vitaar as a helm replacement? You should also consider that, on non-qunari characters, it may be hidden during cinematics, as helms typically are, so you won't see it during those key moments. (I don't know how accurate this is.)

 

If you're more interested in the vitaar for appearance only, because they have that unique war paint look that the tattoos do not have, your best bet would be as Bartlet89 suggests, having a mod to replace the human tattoos with vitaar graphics. Keep in mind that this will affect all non-qunari NPCs with tattoos as well.

 

 

IF what you want is vitaar as a helm replacement, you will want two things to get it working properly. The first is to use a mod that removes race restrictions on vitaar. The second is a mod that edits the vitaar directly to match the human/dwarf/elf face proportions. For the second, you should also be aware that editing the vitaar in this way will also change how they appear on Iron Bull.
