Deleted21304489User
I've been toying with different mods that change game play in FO3 and I was wondering about something. If you increase damage for both the player, npc's, and creatures... won't this nerf down, or make the damage perks you gain, almost worthless. I know in vanilla play, you pretty much suck in the beginning. However, after gaining experience and perks... you get pretty bad ass. With mods like FWE, you can pretty much kill stuff pretty easily, however you can also get killed pretty quick yourself. Being able to kill things pretty easily right off the bat, would likely make gaining a perk less of a benefit. No? For instance, I was using Simple Realism and ran into death claw at level 6. I thought I was dead for sure. I didn't have any perks at the time that increased my damage, but was able to take out the death claw with my shotgun. It took only four shots and this was outside of VATS. I was pretty amazed actually. That being said... if I had some damage increasing perks, maybe I would have taken it out with only two shots. That doesn't seem like realism to me. I'm just wondering if a mod like FWE takes this into consideration and makes the proper adjustments, because Simple Realism doesn't seem to. If I had been playing vanilla, that Death Claw would have ate my lunch. Any input on this?
