Immersive Head Trauma

I’m just learning the GECK and not much of a scripter so this is beyond me at the moment but I thought I’d throw it at there. I suffered a serious head injury years back and thought that since our courier did as well it might be an interesting immersion mod to take that into account. It would, in my mind, work as follows:

 

Periodic, debilitating migraines. Once every day or two at random intervals, you would get a warning message that you are about to have a migraine.

 

*Visual distortion then follows—the real thing is associated by lights seeming very bright and halos forming around objects. Perhaps this could be implemented.

 

*Next, a minute or so later, the migraine itself would start. It would have the same effect as a crippling head wound and come with a -1 to all SPECIAL traits, except luck perhaps.

 

*It would last 3 to 5 minutes of real time and not be fixable with a doctor’s bag.

 

*Med-X, Whiskey, or Vodka can be used to end it but with the ever-present danger of addiction forming when using this technique.

 

Weird perhaps but I think it could be interesting and provide some extra challenge as well as being immersive.

I think that's all do-able, imagespace modifiers could be used, an example of them would be double vision and blur. Bloom or HDR might be the closest for your description of bright halos (I'm not particularly well viersed in them).

You'd want to wrap it in a quest script, which will also keep track of the time and the migrain itself would or could be an actor/base effect. There's some details to tie it all together, but I think that's a rough outline that could work.
