3bestpals
[noob alert] I have been searching since launch basically for a mod that allows crops to grow without having to assign a settler to them, be it automaton or otherwise. Having no luck in that department, or with requests, I've decided (with zero mod creating experience) to do it myself. However, I do feel I need someone to point me in the right direction, as I have some ideas on how to accomplish this, but no clue on how to get there. I just need to know if any of these concepts are even plausible and if so where can i find the values within CK etc to tweak them myself. "Sprinklers" - If I can use a static model to essentially act as a settler once placed, just to meet the crops "requirement" for growth. "Remove Settler Requirement" - I don't even know if this is possible, but to just have all crops requirements automatically met when placed (ie vault boy icon green upon placement) and grow over time as normal. "Invisible/Silent Settler" - If I can just make some farming automatons, assign them, and make them invisible/silent (maybe via command?) so that they appear to grow naturally Where would I find the 'requirements' (let alone find the crops themselves) within CK? Can I change requirement from "settler" to say "water" (or even "power")? I would love to require tending but my first course of action would be to at least remove settler requirement and allow standard growth over time (would love to be able to configure the time as well) Thanks for taking the time to read this!
