343 guilty caboose Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 I recently downloaded a mod for Kvatch where it is rebuilt (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15412/), but I read how to get it to work, but I don't really get it, the 'Then, activate BOTH 'Kvatch Rebuilt.esp and 'Kvatch Rebuilt.esm' in your Oblivion launcher of choice.' part.So what does it actually mean? bben46 Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 To get a mod to work in your game, you must 'activate' it . This is done when you start oblivion. Instead of selecting 'Play' on the menu, select 'Data Files' there you will see a list of the mod files that are installed on you r system. each one will have a box to its left. the ones with a x in the box are active. to activate one, click on the box. an x should appear there. For Kvatch rebuilt there should be files available, an 'esm (Mod master file) and a .esp - mod file. The mod needs both of these to work. I hope this is what you are looking for. If not, post back and we will get it straightened out. As to the 'Oblivion Launcher of Choice' part, many people have switched from the fairly limited built in 'Data Files' in the Oblivion start menu to a program called OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) it has more versatility in handling mods when you have more than a few installed.
