kvatch mod help

Recommended Posts

I recently downloaded a mod for Kvatch where it is rebuilt (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15412/), but I read how to get it to work, but I don't really get it, the 'Then, activate BOTH 'Kvatch Rebuilt.esp and 'Kvatch Rebuilt.esm' in your Oblivion launcher of choice.' part.

So what does it actually mean?

I'll assume that your using the default Oblivion launcer. When you double click on the icon to start Oblivion, there should be a Data Files option immediately under the Play option. Click Data Files, then look through the list for the files you wish to activate, and place a check-mark in their respective boxes. Now start up the game and the mod should take effect. Hope this helps and good luck!

EDIT: If you're looking for other launcher suggestions, then try Oblivion Mod Manager. It allows for quick and easy mod activation\deactivation and (of course) organization.

Vanila means plain unmodified Oblivion.

If the people are still at the camp outside of Kvatch it means that your mod is not working. Or you have not completed the 2 quests to free Kvatch. In an early version of the mod the quest doesn't start reliably until you complete the entire main quest. In the later version, it will start as soon as you finish the 2 Kvatch quests.

#1 Breaking the Siege of Kvatch. You must close the Kvatch Oblivion gate. Kill all of the Daedra in Kvatch. the final stage is to convince Martin to follow you to Weynon Priory.

#2 Battle for Castle Kvatch. After #1, you must return to Kvatch and get into the castle to rescue the count. The final stage you return to the captain of the Kvatch Guard and report to him. he gives you a reward.

If either of these quests is still in your quest list, you need to finish them before the people will move back.

I'm not sure, but this mod may require OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) to work. OBSE is not a mod, but a separate program that allows mod makes to do much more than the Construction Set normally allows. It is available from the author's site here : http://obse.silverlock.org/

Please be sure to read the installation instructions because it is not a mod and installs differently. Then read the instructions for launching it before starting Oblivion.
