Killing Blows

I always attack enemies with power attacks and I get very few killing animations. They are done in first or third person; the game decides maybe randomly if it's third or first person and will force that perspective. It would be nice if third person killing blows were done when you are in third person only and first person killing blows happen in first person only. From what I understand there are multiple killing animations for each of these weapons:

 

• one handed + shield
  
• one handed + one handed
  
• two handed
  
• dagger (maybe when you slit their throats?)
  

And multiple one handed killing blows for:

• sword
  
• axe
  
• mace
  

but for two handed it looks like the game doesn't care if you have warhammer or axe or sword.

 

That's what I've seen anyway. But I don't seem to be able to get a finishing move (or killing blow) when I one shot an enemy with power attack. Maybe it's simply by chance. Like a 5% of all power attacks are killing blows? I can't wait for mods that add killing blows and fix the ones that are broken. Especially in two handed weapons, how can I cut someone's head off with a warhammer? It's stupid and it breaks my immersion.

1. Actually, I've managed to land killing blows in large groups of enemies.<br>It is less likely, but it can and will happen while multiple targets are present and close by. It really just depends on how strong your next attack is compared to how much health your enemy has. If your next attack would kill, or come close to killing your enemy, there's a chance that this will activate the Cinematic Death animation.

 

2. The next time you go searching for mods, try typing "glamorous combat" as it greatly increases the chance of "Cinematic Deaths" occurring.^_^ Hope this helps.

 

Edit: I've never done a first person killing blow while in third person view, and I'm in 3rd person 90% of the time with death animation chances increased. But I know your perspective has a chance to switch to 3rd person if you perform one in first person view.

I've managed to get Killing Blows when the enemy is down and surrenders every time this happens I can cause a Killing Blow.
