import textures from oblivion to skyrim

They are both in .dds so I would assume that when nifskope is easy to use with Skyrim than it would be as simple as remapping the texture onto what you want in Skyrim and than choosing the file path through nifskope. While editing some Skyrim textures I noticed no difference between them and those from Oblivion. For now lets say you liked the ground grass from oblivion much more(as it requires no remapping): You would open up the oblivion textures .bsa and take out your 'grass.dds' and 'grass_n.dds'. I am just using generic names but I am sure you already know that  . Now that you have those textures you would open up the skyrim textures.bsa. Look for the grass and take note of the file path. Set up the correct path in your skyrim folder and place your grass.dds/_n.dds in there. The last step is to re-name the Oblivion textures to the Skyrim textures and you are done. I like to use Gimp as a tool, but you would only need this if you wanted to make the texture more detailed/ of a higher resolution. Hopefully this is what you wanted to know and I am not just going over redundant information  . Good luck with what ever you are working on and have fun  .

I can't talk from experience with Skyrim, sorry  . I think some people are currently using tools like tessnip to get meshes into Skyrim but since I have not played with them I couldn't help you there.

There is this thread though. It may be what you are looking for.
