If you were part of an assassins guild in FNV How would you want to ki

New Vegas definitely needs more stealth missions, the stealth mechanics are awesome. First, a possible custom "turret" security camera, possibly with perks/armor to notice where it is, where it's pointing and/or avoid it... possibly have enemies with "infrared" headgear/helmets, which allow them to spot you even in the dark and/or through smoke, etc... IIRC there's a "create detection event" command, if the helmet created a "beam" weapon (like custom flashlights?) that "spot" the player...

also, faction armors (read- disguises) and bloodstains (aren't they labels in the GECK? couldn't bloodstains be spawned with a detection event scprit, by assigning it to the FX in the GECK?), noises/doors opening causing noise, interactive people which can be restrained/drugged/forced to surrender, plus updated AI reacting to events (the game mechanics are great, really) would all be great... I mean, with mods NV's stealth system probably could rival MGS or Arkaham City...

How about gang kills? The Guild could be contacted by NCR officials who want certain Great Khan, Jackal, and Viper leaders killed in a stealthy manner. Or you could have corrupt politicians/officers who want you to take out other politicians/officers to gain power.

NCR don't really care whether the hits are in stealth or not. Frontier is a lawless place.

Yeah, stealth kills are really about avoiding reprisals, whether as the killer (i.e. you're a fellow "citizen") or the faction involved... the Khans might be formidable enough to wage a guerrilla war and/or raise hell with NCR caravans or patrols, but House or a minor faction are really the only ones who would want to hide their hand, so to speak.

hmm another approach:

since your a skilled assassin, you would be part of a hidden organization, you would not be distinguishable, and you would not carry incriminating objects that tie you to your faction____>

the targets (inside the geck) wouldnt be faction marked-that way you dont tick off the factions

i dont like how that works to begin with- i kill a lone legion member and i gain infamy somehow when no one witnessed it

ill watch this, idk if i can help but i would like to,....somehow

Some ideas for a dark brotherhood mod. So the Knights in shining armor have a dark side after all. Hmm. Maybe pull something from Tactics maybe a splinter cell that works for Calculator. As we know the Calculator is a computer that wanted to purge the wasteland via a robotic army. A lone warrior sacrificed his/her brain to stop the calculator which is now working with the BoS.

Lets say the Calculator wants to rebuild said robotic armry. Mr. House would have to eliminated and so would Caesar, and Benny. The calculator could enlist the help of the BoS in hidden valley or destroy them. The NCR would pose a threat so their supply line, Crimson Caravan, and forces at Mojave Outpost, McCaren, etc. would have to be destroyed as well. And a few small towns could be captured and turned into labor camps.

Not a bad idea, but need to work out the motive a bit better.

If the Calculator wants to control Mojave by rebuilding a robot army, he won't need to order any body to get killed, just send in enough robots to roll over everybody. You engage in assassinations to eliminate leaders and give you an opening for you to do something else. Or to induce other factions to fight each other allowing them to be later rolled over.

Remove House would make sense as House control enough robots for a real fight (and even win, once The securitrons got the Mk II upgrade)

But remove NCR and the Legion? It's easier to let them fight each other, THEN roll them both over. No assassinations needed.

You could make the plot better by adding some secrets... Perhaps, some of the folks you know, are actually cyborgs controlled by the Calculator. Nobody would know the difference unless you perform a really special hit that revealed their cyborg nature, and even then you need enough science to realize this. Then Calculator invites you to kill a few people who had also figured it out. THAT would be an interesting plot.

Or just have Calculator order the hits, and you don't know why. As you kill them, and read over their stuff, or they tell you on their dying breath, perhaps you're killing the wrong people. :) (Or is that too cliche?)

The Calculator has a plan, to presumably, destroy the BoS once the East BoS and the West BoS meet. I'm sure the Calculator would want their untimely elimination to be kept quiet as possible and moving robots here and there would certainly draw suspicion. I think the Calculator would employ the aid of a few close followers who have a better chance to sneak somewhere than a robot.

You're right let the Legion and NCR duke it out and then crush them. Once done the Calculator can use the damn to power secret manufacturing facilities. Once the forces in the Mojave have been built up then the Calculator would be in a prime position to eliminate the entire BoS and control the waste.

It'd be cool to have some cyborgs here and there who know about the Calculator and are fighting to stop it. More intersetingly let the Cyborgs be a key member of a town that once killed would A.) Cause the town to attack the player, an all out war, or B.) *provided the player has high enough speech, concealment, and evidence* cause town A tol attack town B. Of course their can be various repercussions from sniping the wrong guy and getting a town wiped out.

i imagine it would be a new faction, so hopefully you would have targets from all factions, how you handle it depends on if they are hostile or not. you could make it so you cant be seen with some quests

i dont remember the mod, but i read about sneaking up on npcs and injecting them with medx style weapons, that would be cool for faking a natural death.
