Game Crashes

Hey i was wondering is this happens to anyone else. Well, i can just be wondering along then all of a sudden *ERRRRNGNG* CRASH! my game minimizes then closes. (please not it doesn't actually make that sound :P ) It's annoying cause if i want to get any where i allways have to be saving. So maybe there is some sort of setting or something i should turn down or off. Since i better myself for performance my settings are all ready pretty low only things not at lowest i think are resolution and view distance. :help:

Try turning on the autosave it may help your reloding if you tend to rest alot but i do not know how to fix the crashing problems. You could try turning every thing down and slowly tun it back up to test if it will work better at the lower settings.

hmm, a CTD in morrowind...well...according to my brother, he keeps on getting them, so he deleted it, and i have to wait 10 days till i get my laptop that can run Tron2.0 without any lag in the tutorials!, MUHAHAHAHA

but ahh, have you considered lowering things, try playing on 800x600...its bloody terrible...but hey, itll run great, or lowering the draw distance, even on 20% its not too bad.

Yeah this happens also to me. I have read the tips of this page and i have looked everywhere but it still crashes, and no there is not the music or anything to do with the shadows or anything else you can put up. I have a computer that can play morrowind 10x and more.

Man this why i am getting a new computer, see the one i am using isn't really mine but i am getting parts to get a new one built.

My i am getting a 2 ghz processor, a Soyo platnium ultra motherboard, XFX geforce 4 mx440 64mb, and well i know there is ram and stuff but am not to good with this stuff, thats the basic stuff in my new comp, this should make it so my game wont crash as much. ^_^

ok, your video card will be able to get a constant 22fps in balmora at 1024x768 with the draw distance at 45%...i know someone with the identical computer.

when you get that computer, i strongly advise getting a new video card, grab something cheap, like a radeon 8500 or 9000, their both better than a geforce fx5200, and both have the pixel shaders, 8500 is faster than the 9000, but sucks at pixel shading, 9000 isnt as good, but can just beat a geforce 4 ti4600 in a pixel shading test

or...if your willing to spend over $250 australian dollars....try to score a radeon 9600, or even a 9700, depends on your budget, once you go radeon...you never go back my friend, i found the geforce fx series a complete joke, excluding the 5900 and 5950 cards, which are still beaten by a radeon 9800xt 256mb ddr, so once again...go with radeon, games like XIII wont even think about lagging on your comp

which reminds me

my p3 500mhz, it runs that game XIII at a constant 50fps, sometimes drops to 28fps, at 1024x768x32, now...i used to get 10-15 all the time with my old 315e...how good is that for a radeon 9000 pro

Well i am a very small budget and i don't think that i can spend anything over like $100 US so i am gonna get a better video card probably, thats just the one i looked at first and i had to put something so. I bet i can get a good deal off of ebay so i'll start looking around there, ok thanks. :)
