whitewulf0
Hi all, i have this problem with modding, i start merging and it stops the operation to the file "en.toc" and i get this error with every mod: http://prntscr.com/ek97gg i really don't know what to do, i know that i need to change the patch number in the file MFT and (don't look at the version number 2 ahah, i already tried with 10-11-12-13-14.... and it doesn't worked) i think it's a problem of the "official patch" and not of the mods.. i really don't know what to do, heeeelp..
Deleted23328924User
Did you use the DAITools Suite Loader http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/693/? or an older version? As far as I know it should be version 12 of the official patch ( just for the information ) if repair the game and re-download the DAI Tools Suite doesn’t solve your problem: Delete your merged patch and tick the 'Force rescan of Patch' box before merging with the new/changed patch. Make sure...... you have installed DirectX11 and .NET Framework 4 or higher https://www.microsof...s.aspx?id=49981 ( version 4.6.1 - for example )... both your game's path and your mods' path are correct ( Dragon Age Path where you have your DragonAgeInquisition.exe )... your mods and the ModManager aren't in the same folder ( I can't see it exactly on your screenshot )

Deleted23328924User
At first, I recommend not to save it all on the desktop, I've read somewhere that exactly this can cause an error. As I can see, your patch is up to date and you don't need an update. The game would automatically get an update by Origin or show you a message in this regard. Your error message is this one, if I understand it correctly: "Unable to read beyond the end of the stream."This can happen for a number of reasons and the simplest method is to repair the game and see if this error occurs again: Previously delete your "Patch_ModManagerMerge" folder! Open your Origin client, right-click on Dragon Age: Inquisition in your library, select "Repair Game" and try merging your mods after it's finished. If it doesn't work, delete your merged patch and tick the 'Force rescan of Patch' box and merge again. It might be also because of a weird .cas file inside of "Dragon Age Inquisition\Data" folder. It had the word "stream" in it, something like cas32_stream.cas. I've no idea where that file comes from but the game doesn't need it to run. If you have this file, move it away somewhere out of the game's folder and launch the ModManager. I personally don't have that file and the game still runs, if you're having trouble launching the game without it, simply move it back in.( solution of DawnlessSky ) If that doesn't help, maybe try this solution by knightmire: 1) Navigate to your game folder and to \Update\Patch\data\Win32\loctext\2) Create a new folder and move both files; en.sb and en.toc as backups. (you will need these)3) Download any merge zip from this forum, open it and copy those 2 files to \Update\Patch\data\Win32\loctext\4) Now run the Mod Manager and follow the directions (as you probably have already tried multiple times).5) If you are like me, you will find it completed successfully now, but the game will fail to run properly. Don't worry..6) Go back and overwrite those 2 files in \Update\Patch\data\Win32\loctext\ with the backup copies you made.7) Launch the game. Both mods (soft Cass and black logo uniform) working perfectly in my deluxe game version!
whitewulf0
i did not understand the knightmire solution... so, i go in the loctext folder, i create a new folder in desktop and i put in it the two files en.toc and en.sb, i download a mod from this site and then i merge without the two files..? im lost ahah.. Deleted23328924User
I can only repeat, don't save the whole mods and stuff on your desktop and also no "create shortcut" folder. If you navigate your ModManager to a folder which only exists on the desktop or as a shortcut folder, it may well be that you have a conflict because of this. Did you try to repair the game? If not, please try this first! Yes, creat a new folder somewhere else, open your loctext folder and put the two files en.sb and en.toc in this new folder. Next open your locfacefx folder, there are two files which are located in it - these files should be the language of your installed game - copy both in your loctext folder. After that run the ModManager as you always do, here is a tutorial ( just in case ) http://daimodder.tum...anager-tutorialNow your merge should be successful, but you can't start the game. Go back to your loctext folder and overwrite the two files with your first two files ( en.sb and en.toc ), which you have placed at the beginning in your newly created folder.Try to launch Dragon Age: Inquisition, the game and the mods should now work. If it doesn't work, try it again but this time only remove the two files en.sb and en.toc from the loctext folder. So, no copy and no overwrite! And try to merge again. Personally, I've never tried this solution, so I can't tell you more what is written here. I can just recommend to take a look at this site: Mod Manager Troubleshooting Tips http://daimodder.tumblr.com/post/128470102064/mod-manager-troubleshooting-tipsNow I've told and showed you everything I know about this issue and the solutions that have helped me or other people. If you have tried everything and it still doesn't work, then your problem is probably somewhere else. In your position I would completely reinstall the whole game and DAITools Suite Loader. Haagen171
it must be really hard for some people to say: thank you... whatever, Repair Game and tick the 'Force rescan of Patch' box helped for me! I have not played since the last patch. Thank you, Barlet89! Edited March 16, 2017 by Haagen171
