[LE] Skyrim NCR Combat ranger armor

Short answer ... NO ... That would be a serious breach of copyright, BGS has specifically stated that we MUST NOT under any circumstances 'borrow' assets from any other of it's games ... Having said that, It would be theoretically possible to make an armor mod that 'looks' like the NCR armor ... but ...

I just don't get all theses weird armor requests people make ...

Skyrim is a game based (loosely) around Norse Mythology, so WTF are people wanting Dragon Ballz armor or Anime characters or Western USA Armored Cowboys in the game for? Beside which (and I'm sure I'll get flamed for this) Skyrim is, for almost all practical purposes, just a TC of Fallout:New Vegas anyway, with a couple of minor differences, so just play that! ...

I just don't get it.

Woah woah woah now. There's nothing wrong with using assets from New Vegas in Skyrim. Legal issues only come up when you release such assets publicly, and even then you can still release the mod itself, you'll just have to require players to acquire (and presumably convert for Skyrim) the assets themselves.

Essentially its like this.

If you own both games, you can port the armour over to your copy of Skyrim.

But you can't release it publicly.

And Skyrim isn't a copy of Fallout New Vegas, dude, its actually fundamentally different in many ways from it.

Lol ... I knew someone would bite and you're it huntsman2310 ,,, You're grand prize is .. A Free Fart Noise Generator App for your smart phone ...

But really fundamentally i'ts the same game as FO:NV ... Superficially it is different, but you could probably swap about 85% of the assets between the two games without seeing much difference. BGS made a few internal changes to the .nifs for instance, but they probably figured they HAD to, so they could avoid the wholesale porting that would occur if they didn't, they wouldn't have been able to stop it otherwise ... Most of the tools for FO:NV work just as happily modding Skyrim as it is, and <sheesh> someone even put the "Baseball Bat" from FO:NV (included with the Skyrim install BTW) into the Skyrim game, simply by pointing to the texture files in his FO:NV install directory and it works perfectly, and I'll ask you, as just one other small example, how much different is a Troll from a DeathClaw really? I'd almost guarantee that one of the Mods to be released when the CK finally arrives will be a VATS Mod for Bows, as 'Archery' already has many 'perks' that mimic what VATS does in FO:NV, so don't kid yourself about it's being that much different ...

However, BTT ... the OP asked if there was available a MOD which puts the NCR Ranger Armor into Skyrim, and my short answer is still the same ...NO!

Yes you could do it yourself, for your own personal use, and even perhaps release a 'tutorial' or 'script' for players who already have both games but ... NO ... their is not now, and probably never will be, a mod to do it, unless BGS change their stance on there intellectual property rights
