RobertHowsham
I installed SKSE yesterday and would like to change the default SKSE launch icon to the standard Skyrim launch icon. I know it should be possible, but cannot find info on how. Any help greatly apreciated.

Jack8623
what if the skse doesent give you the option to change icon If it's a shortcut on your desktop, it does... However, if you want to use Skyrim's icon you will have to select one of it's .exe's. Icon is embedded. SokPuppetMittins
If you *really* want to replace the executable icon (e.g. so the icon shows up in NMM when selecting the launch option), consider using "Resource Hacker" to embed the Skyrim (or any icon) graphic. You may need to tell the program to insert a (binary) image if no icon is present - I did- but it worked no problem.

I just downloaded it from a bit of research online and saw your comment here so figure it must be worth a shot. If you could give a detailed explanation, I'd appreciate it. Meglet42
I finally got mine to work. Here is what I ended up doing. Turned the mod back on. Got the error about mismatched versions, unexpected ect ect ect. Found an above post that said in her 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data' folder was a duplicated .dll file of SKSE of an older version! This was due to another mod in her case, but it was one of the same things in mine. Upon taking a deeper look, I found that somehow the SKSE files were duplicated several times in that folder/tree and I had to do a purge of all SKSE folders and files. Another fresh install and check for older versions before I enabled the mod and tried again from the SKSE Launcher. Boom. Worked. So frustrating, but all in all once I knew I was looking for an older/rouge .dll file it clicked.
Neizvestnyy
Using resource hacker, under the action menu add image/binary data. Select the desired icon (it must be a .ico file), RH will detect the type and should say it is an icon. Press add resource button and save the exe (a backup is automatically created in case the it becomes corrupted).
