quitetoxick
"It's an end to the evil of all Skyrim's foes. Beware, beware, the Dragonborn comes. For the darkness has passed, and the legend yet grows." 8) I'd like to propose an idea for a mod that allows you to really live up to your heroic calling. Although I know how many people out there enjoy being evil badasses in videogames, I think the opposite should also be possible. Yet so far there are limitations to how good and noble the Dovakin can actually be. For example the Daedric quest lines are somewhat forced upon you. You either ignore them and let them clutter up your quest log or bow to the Princes' wills and agree to be their pawn. Even if you decide to fight them, you may end up with their quest anyway. E.g. I decided to root out the Bohemian cult after they told me they'd like me to sacrifice a friend. But when I defeated them all Bohemia appeared and gave me the quest to kill her old champion to take his place. The fact I didn't want to did not really matter. Of course I could simply ignore that quest, but as a matter of fact I think you should also have the option to solve these quests in a "Good" manner. Similarly, you can either join the Thieves' guild or the Dark Brotherhood, or ignore them. But you can't really work against them and spoil their plans and finally bring them to justice. Thus the mod I envision should ... 1) Implement alternate solutions for the Daedric quests. You should have the chance to permanently destroy or convert recovered evil artifacts, instead of handing them over or selling them (think of The One Ring). It should be possible to oppose their cults, making a powerful enemy but doing the right thing. Maybe a final confrontation with an Daedric avatar would be the conclusion. 2) Allow you to work against the Thieves' guild and the Dark Brotherhood, either by interfering in their affairs, spoiling their plans, stopping their henchmen and assassins. Your aim should be to rescue people and prevent damage (that you would actually cause yourself if you followed the regular questline). On a bigger scale you might be able to take out key characters (in a fight or by collecting evidence to put them to justice) and thus deliver these organisations a heavy blow. Again, you would make a dangerous enemy, but at least you'd have a choice to do so besides "going in and killing them all". 3) Give NPCs the chance surrender for real, when they are really outmatched and beaten. Villagers can do it, why not poor level 1 bandids? Even if you let them go after they beg for mercy, they will always come for you neverthless a few seconds later to die a pointless death. I don't think that's particularly realistic and should be changed. Maybe if you showed a bit of good will or even healed them up, they would just get up and leave for good. 4) Enable you to actually heal sick and wounded NPCs in temples and military encampments. It might require a certain spell level, but it should be possible. If you can bring your follower back from the brink of death, why not a petty merchant or soldier? Of course, they shouldn't just jump up and leave, but a simple thanks would already be nice. You'd have an impact on the world on a smaller scale. 5) Allow you to put some of your hoarded gold to good use. And with that I don't mean investing it into merchants, but for charity. I mean, giving 1 coin to a beggar of 5 coins to the priest of Mara is nice in the beginning, but quite laughable when your coin purse is stuffed with thousands of them. I could elaborate more on these ideas, but I guess this should do for now. However, I have not the slightest idea how to create a mod  So if you like the idea and know your way around the apporpriate software (or the Creation Kit), feel free to adapt this idea or contact me for further input. Thanks  Edited January 31, 2012 by quitetoxick

The organization doesnt end with just killing her, after you track them down to the sanctuary and slaughter them.
quitetoxick
The organization doesnt end with just killing her, after you track them down to the sanctuary and slaughter them. Well, I hate to get repetetive but as I said, it would be nice if there were other options to oppose them but "kill'em all". Options that would not make a whole questline obsolete, but tackle it from a different angle. But even if that isn't quite possible, maybe there are other ways to make your hero more heroic and less of a butcher
