JoshuaBrowne
Hello everyone, hope everyone's having an awesome day or night wherever you all are!So I've had my Nexus account for yearrrrrs, but I've never really participated in the forum, but I've spent literally hundreds of hours in Tamriel and the Wastelands, and a great deal of time tweaking and expanding both universes. But over the past couple of years I've been focused far more of my time on electronic music production and studying, and now what I am really hoping to do is use the skills I've honed working with sound to work on projects in film and gaming and put together a portfolio that can get me a foot through the door into working professionally in this field. That's where the Nexus comes in, I hope! For example, I remember playing this reallllly nice expansion for Skyrim with a whole extra island - Falskaar - (who else played it? I loved it!) - but something that really let it down was some of the vocal tracks - one of the voice actors always sounded like he was in an entirely different environment to everyone else, and for me, being a sound nerd, this really spoiled the immersion. This is exactly the kind of thing I'm certain I could help out with based on my current skill-set - and with time I'm sure there might be all kinds of cool things I could help make happen! I'd also love to work on things like new sounds for weapons in Fallout (pew pew! - zzzzzzap!) So yeah, is there anyone here who is working on something that maybe I could help out with? Or maybe who knows who I need to speak with? Or if there's anyone here experienced in this field who can help me get involved I'd be really glad to hear from you! Thanks everyone :smile:Oh and if you want to hear an example of my sound design / mixing, albeit in a musical rather than cinematic context, here you go:https://soundcloud.com/holocron-psychedelia/the-expanse-clip Edited March 19, 2017 by JoshuaBrowne
