Anya29 Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) I'm getting a CTD if I go a certain distance from Dark Light Tower, red ring on the map below. I do not get problems anywhere else, except if I cross this imaginary line from the Tower out, or from anywhere else in. I thought it might have something to do with Illia who is supposed to be at Dark Light Tower but she isn't. I don't get the CTDs with other characters, only this one. The one I have progressed the furthest. Level 52, completed Winterhold, Bards, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild to Master, Alduin, Civil War and the Companions. I have no problems in Riften or other areas nearby, just this one pocket. I can fast travel in to go in and out the Tower only when travelling normally it happens. http://thumbsnap.com/s/rsSB0daC.jpg Any ideas please? I did have this issue earlier, the interior of Dark Light Tower had disappeared but I got it back by disabling the last mod NPC_Bartering.esp odd I know but...... could this also have something to do with it even though it's back to normal and the mods I disabled actually have nothing to do with it? Anya29 Posted January 31, 2012 Author Share Posted January 31, 2012 Update. Not a mod issue as far as I can see. If I fast travel to Dark Light Tower and then go inside I get the lost interior. If I go back out, then save the game. Then load the game and re-enter all is there. Still CTDs if I travel by foot away from the tower. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rabidNode Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 try fully clearing data of the tower by waiting 11 days or 31. then try disabling all mods and doing this an fyi autosaves are not good to use as once they save corrupt data that's ituse a separate save and mod that saves to different spots each time. Anya29 Posted February 13, 2012 Author Share Posted February 13, 2012 I still get the CTD around the main road west of Riften and near Darklight Tower. I only get it with my main (first) character. I was wondering, I took Illia as a companion for a while then dismissed her with this character, but she never went home. I have seen her wandering around Skyrim twice and on both occasions she has no dialogue. Could she be causing the CTD because she is supposed to be back at Darklight Tower and when I cross the invisible cell for Darklight and she's not there it CTDs?
