Merciful or Practical Companions

Specifically, there is no need to slaughter any fleeing / cowering NPCs of factions who are hostile to me simply and solely because their *FACTION is hostile to me.

 

Save the fighting for those engaging in combat against me / us...leave those who are not posing a threat be.

 

Ammo ain't cheap..armor repairs ain't cheap...if they wanna step aside let them. They just make the job that much easier and more profitable.

 

 

*I realize this is likely a "faction" thing and no fix is possible..I'm just hoping.

 

On a technical note I've noted that ever since FO3 (mods to the contrary not withstanding) children are never engaged in combat so even IF there were some way to script those who are fleeing / cowering to the "children" faction, as it were, I suppose that could work but I suspect it't not as simple as that in named NPCs would have to be specified under the aforementioned "non-combatant" condition(s) which would be problematic (at best) on its own.

 

Now factor in unnamed generic factionized NPCs and well, yeah.

 

Guess I answered my own question then.. sorry for all of that. I was just hoping.
