Game keeps stopping mouse/forward key.

As I'm playing Oblivion, the mouse will suddenly stop moving. The keyboard is able to move in this case, and the game goes on, but it's very inconvenient with the difficulty I have. The move forward key (which is set to W for me) will also suddenly stop in the same fashion. Help, please.

By any chance do you have a joystick or other external controller attached?

 

If so, unplug it.

If your mouse and keyboard are wireless, please check if the batteries are fresh and that nothing is obstructing the signal between the keyboard/mouse and the receiver. Also make sure to check the keyboard for stuck objects. Turning it upside down and hitting it a bit has never hurt.

It was a mod, probably Deadly Reflex (I disabled quite a couple, so I'm not sure). Thanks for the help, though.
