ericjmz
So if have the Sofia follower modDue to some minor but annoying issues ( which i inquired as to twice on the mods webpage without answer) I would like to delete the mod and then reinstall 'fresh'-I love my Sofia mod!But here my generic skyrim mod question... I married Sofia already If I delete & then reinstall will o be allowed to marry her?Or will skyrim prevent this as a 're'-marriage?Ericjmz
Skagens
I think you'll be fine if you enter and save the game once after you have uninstalled the mod. Ie: Uninstall it, load your save, save the game, quit the game and then install the mod again.
ericjmz
Thank youA surprise- I was honestly expecting you to say "no...you're screwed"I thought that , follower mod or not, skyrim would 'see' I've married once and that was that!In fact-your answer is almost to god to be trueA brainstorm-I'll save, then delete the modThen I will put on an amulet of Mara and go up to a normal skyrim follower and asker her to marryIf it works then stop right there, and reinstall Sofia I am skeptical The reason to go thru this step is it will take 100 hours with Sofia to accomplish lots of stuff with her that then lets you marry her But a normal skyrim follower will hopefully just say yes? Oh, as you helped me once here, and no one else on the Sofia mod forum ever did I will ALSOAsk you if there is an easier solution as to why I am choosing to delete/reinstall in the first placeI will start a new post for thatEricjmz
Skagens
I don't understand your second question. Would you mind rephrasing it a bit?
ericjmz
Good evening Skagens, in reply:- I was TRYING to say that I made a different post for my 2nd question, so as to be no more verbose than I already am here! :-)But since you were kind enough to ask, THAT post is in this forum, in the last 2 days, titled: "Sofia follower mod- can't get her drunk now? " Since no one answered me there...and no one answered me on the Sofia Mod forum, if you know the answer please tell me; its the whole reason I am broaching deleting/reinstalling Sofia. here is the very question I posted:- "HiLove Sofia follower mod,had her for a long time, recently married her (great dialogue added there-in,by the way...esp.when she reminds the priest of their prior encounter)......but I have one problem, and request help to solve.Specifically, I can NO LONGER get Sofia drunk by giving her alcolhol. 1. As a background, a few days ago , after over 120 hours with her, I encountered this:"I gave Sofia alcohol and now she's glitched out." 2. I solved that with the mods page instructions "stopquest jjsofiadrunk"...but then I could no longer GET her drunk 3. So on my own I tried this : "startquest jjsofiadrunk"...and she became drunk...but would now not become sober. 4. So again I consoled this "stopquest jjsofiadrunk"Which works...but now I canNOT get her drunk (the problem I started with)Before I try anything else, can anyone tell me what you suggest I do? I do not have old saves prior to this problem. And I DO want to remain married to her, so would prefer not doing anything that changes that state 'Lil help? :-)Thank you ericjmz
Skagens
Ah, I see. Well, I'm not familiar about the problems regarding follower mods since I do not use any myself, so I'm not sure why she seems to be perpetually drunk/sober. Sorry.
Moksha8088
You would be much better off asking this question of djjohnjarvis on the Sofia mod page. I would first try to uninstall from all profiles and then immediately reinstall, run LOOT, and then start up the game and see if that fixes your problem. Some problems are baked into the save file and need you to go back to a previous save. Sometimes it can be as simple as resetting the quest from the command line. Ask on the Sofia page for the best info.
SMB92
Doing this might damage your save game, but for all intents and purposes even just renaming the ESP file of the mod will make the game see it as a new mod while the "old" mod is gone, and will reload said data. Clean save method as mentioned above would be the best approach, but I'd consider using the save game cleaner, if that is usable with SSE (I haven't had the need). Google that one. ericjmz
Moksha8088, SMB92, and anyone who maybe can help..? I appreciate your thoughts. In reply:- 1.I did ask on 2 forums off the Sofia Mod page...no answers/no replies2. I also asked djjohnjarvis directly..no answer/reply either3. I will try the 'run loot' advice, but before I uninstall/reinstall, I DID try that (without running loot) before...and it 'broke' being married to her, and it takes dozens of hours of gameplay to do all the things needed to remarry her, so I immediately went back to a save before that route. In addition, my primary question/doubt is that if I DO do that, won't Skyrim see I already married once, and prevent me marrying ANYONE again? So do I need to uninstall reinstall before the Loot trial advice? 5. as I prior mentioned I do not have old saves before this issue occurred; if only life was so simple, alas. :-( thank you ericjmz
