Skyrim Special Edition - Why Doesn't 3ds Max Recognize BSTrishape?

The problem I'm having is that every time I try to import the Hagraven model into 3ds Max, the program tells me that it cannot read because of an Unknown Object called BSTriShape. Whenever I find tutorials on importing nifs, they mention removing the BSTriShape Shader property in Nifskope, but when I do that the mesh disappears and it still doesn't upload correctly. I've tried very hard at looking for a solution for the last week or two, but I have yet to see anyone mention this file.

If you remove the BStriShape Shader inside Nifscope it will go invisible as Nifscope will lose the information how to display it - but the shape is still there - anyway it can cause issues as you experienced with the import.

The Nif-tool to import nif-files does not support the Skyrim SE format. I recommend import the old Skyrim file and also export as such and convert it later with SSE Nif Optimizer - a workaround till someone makes a new import/export tool.

Alright, even though that answer is disappointing it makes sense, thank you for responding.
