I am quite surprised that nobody voted for the redguards except for me. They are a very agile and strong race and they are exceptional with a longsword. Anyone agree?

Probably because most people are voting for who they play as or the Imperials.

Look, how many times does this have to be restated? Morrowind is not thw whole world!! It is only a part of Tamriel. To the east of Morrowind is Hammerfall(Redguard). To it's direct west, Skyrim (Nords). Southwest of Skyrim is Cyrodil (Imperial), and ore and more. Morrowind is only a small part of Tamriel. In TES3 you arent even playing on all of Morrowind, just Vvardenfell!!

Changing subjects, Im going to give you a battlefield scenario.

The Dark Elves and Imperials are fighting in the thick jungles of Cyrodil. The Imperials, with their heavy armor and field-based training, cannot coordinate properly in the jungle. The Dunmeri, used to fighting as single or small groups, are launching hit and run guerilla attacks, using steel and magicka. They, wearing light or no armor can flee quickly in the jungles and lay down magickal traps. The Imperials, Wearing un-weildy armor have to get in close to use their swords. they quickly become lost, confused, and scattered. These types of attacks continue until the Dunmeri win.

Well, I for one agree with Emperor Ike on this one. Though I have not been exposed to as much Military Strategy as he has, I still am pretty knowlledgeable when it comes to that sort of thing. (Read The Art of War, or the Sun Tzu (same thing))

Again, most of you aren't looking at and considering the basic facts and logic of the races in question. It isn't about magic and power and sheer numbers, which race is 'teh coolest!!!' or which race 'Has the Nerevarine/Nectarine!'. It's about the terrain that they're fighting on, the discipline of the army, the experience and knowlledge of the commander of his men, of the terrain and of his resources, and how that commander exploits and makes use of his resources.

If anything shows that sheer numbers doesn't amount to crap, along with how much armour one has on: The Battle of St. Crispens, or the Battle of Agincourt (1415) sure as hell shows for it.

Emperor Ike probably knows more about this, militarily speaking, than I do. You do the research. 500 or more Englishmen defeat the French who numbered in the tens of thousands. And don't give me any of that 'But teh French are PUSSIES! TEHY didn't go 2 War with us (the U.S)' because that's just naive and shows no intelligence.

It is easier to hold a position defensively and basically who ener attacked first would probably loose. Any of the races that sit back and wait would win for shure. After all the others kill each other and are exhausested from war the remaining ones could go and conquer all. There is no way to truely find a winner in this situation sine you don't know what they would do. All that is really known for sure is that the two strongest forces are that of the imperials and the dunmer. I would say that the are almost equally matched for the most part and there is no way to choose a clear winner. There are as many dunmer guards as there are imperials of the legion. There are 6 imperial legion run cities and 2 forts at non imperial run cities. There are also 10 dunmer run cities. These are based of the races of guards that are present in the cities. There are 8 to 10 for the cities. I would personaly have to side with the native dunmer on this seeing as how there are also many more and there knowledge of the area is much greater. There would be no guarantees as i have said. It all come down to the actual way that the events took place. Also if you did not know morrowind was the last province to be come part of the empire because it happened by treaty since they could not defeat the natives. It was the only land that the empire could not conquer. The empire was never able to defeat them like they did the rest of the regions and that is why i would stick with the native dunmer.

You also have to realize the Empire did not 'conquer' many of the lands like most expect. They did not conquer the marshes with armies and large battles, they just dumped militarymen into strategic points, had them build a fort, and waited for the Argonians to give up. It would be impossible for them to march through those marshes and properly 'conquer'.

The same is true with most races actually. The Nords liked the Imperials, so their was a treaty, no bloodshed.

Also, Uriel Septim, the leader at the time of expansion, had the Numidium, a giant Golem blah dee blah dee blah. If one race could make themselves another Numidium, they would easily conquer.

Ok this is terribly OT, but I was wondering just what the heck is a Numidium?

When you say Golem, do you mean like some sort of Robot? Was the Numidium controlled sorta like a Gundam? Or did it have it's own free will? And how come it isn't tromping around Tamriel anymore?

Again, sorry for the OT :P

The Imperials probably have the worst position as Cyrodil could be attacked from all sides by the Redguards from the West, Nords from the North and Dark elfs from the East. Elsweyr and the Black Marsh probably won't muster an army but if the Imperials decided to retreat to their forts they could get ambushed and slaughtered just like the 2 Roman legions who were ambused at nowaday Germany by Barbarians.

But that would only happen if all other races except Imperials would ally together.

The 2 races that would never win would probably be the kajji and the argonian. Most of them are slaves and do not have many powerful spells or equiptment. Their attacks would easily be supressed. the nords have abowe normal weapon but have weak armor and would mostlikely not win or have an extremely hard time trying. The redquard who are extremely unaorganized would just rushb in with their adrenaline rush. The bretons would probably not do well seing as how they are not htat great in closeranged fighting and not all that great with magic. The hight elves would loose for sure with their week combat skills and all their weaknesses. the wood elves would have to rely oon their sneeking and their ranged combat. The orcs would be a formitable oponent fir any but their short numbers would lead to their downfall. All in all it would be either the dunmer or the imperials with their vast numbers. If they united they would be the strongest in all of tamriel.
