Mod loader issue

After a while I was able to get Fallout 3 to work again but now i'm having problems with my mods.

I'm still new to modding and I think my problem might be in the mod loading.

You did good for your first try. Most of those mods are outdated or of a lower quality than other mods available. Don't underestimate the quality of the vanilla game. Playing the game in vanilla (un-modded) shows you how well the game is going to run on your computer, particularly with the DLC's. You don't need any of the mods that "fix" something. Most of the time these are stupid. Often they touch on many areas of the game, and this makes them conflict with any other mod you might use instead. The 1.7 verson of Fallout 3 is very stable by itself or even with DLC.

The game has great performance but the sliders now will draw 4 times as much than a normal game. So every fool gamer under the sun maxes them out an plays on ultra, which just isn't a good idea persistant worldspace this large. Whatever settings you use, you want to use what will allow for the smoothest physics an animation, but also the ability to travel around the wasteland outside without the pesky frame stutter every time a new grid loads. Object, Tree, and Grass are the only settings you need close to the middle in sliders, the rest can be 4 clicks.

Most modders are not smart, an don't know how to mod yet. It takes many years to gain an understanding of all the data types available. Good developer judgement takes even longer. Most modders you find won't even understand the simple need for compatablity in their mod when it's viewed in a list of a 100 other mods. In a load order of any 100 mods you find that at least 25% of them have not been cleaned. The process of making a mod, opening, editing, saving over an over 1000's of times gets them "dirty" You can learn how to clean them @ Webensized FO3 edit guide by CSB

Arwen Realism Tweeks isn't used as much as the other overhawls, but it's easy to manage. Very complex an very excellent work. It makes the wasteland impossible to live in.

Arwen_GOTY_Med-Tec.esp

This is a overhawl, designed to radically change how fallout works, you typically only want to use one of these at a time.

GNR Enhanced.esp

This is the last version of GNR 100, it's more easy to install an is better working.

MergePatch

This is a file I created which takes all the lists in the load order an merges them into one list so that all entries are used. It's created with FO3 edit.

Now all of these mods get installed to a folder. I also then move them into their own sub-folder named on what the mod does. I keep these for a long time so I don't have to download them again. Once you install something move it's download folder from your bin to a folder you named installed. This way you always know what is installed which is helpful. You should stick to only installing 1-3 mods at a time until you learn more.

I have built over 100 seperate load orders the last 4-5 years. They always turn out different. This one is designed to be stable, but not so many mods that I spend a lot of time working to install it. I've been testing this load order for maybe 40 hours. The character I was playing got killed, and really bad by a bear at that. So I decided to leave them dead. Then going to search for a new mod or mods to install. Then I'll make a new character an start over.
