RazielSilver
I just recently uninstalled, updated, and reinstalled all of my New Vegas mods, but now whenever I use Fallout - AI!.bsa NONE of the textures show up properly. I get the changing textures and the red !'s all over everything. All .ini's have: SArchiveList=Fallout - AI!.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa but the game doesn't seem to recognize it or something. I can't seem to find anything that fixes it. Any help would be appreciated.
kevkiev
is Fallout-A!.bsa a download? I ask because I remember using a separate file ages ago, but now just use the archive invalidation tool in FOMM (have to toggle it on and off sometimes to get it to stick). I don't think a separate bsa file is part of FOMM. (Don't see such a file in my game folder). Anyways, aside from all things FOMM, maybe check your ini file in My Documents/Games and the default ini in your main game folder (although I think the one in my documents overwrites the default ini so it may be only the former one that really counts) and make sure that Binvalidateolderfiles=1 and not Binvalidateolderfiles=0? No. I haven't downloaded an AI for either fallout since I got FOMM. I've got a Fallout - AI!.bsa in my Data folder even after uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game. I don't know if it is a part of Nexus Mod Manager or FOMM, but I keep FOMM to do my sorting and my archive invalidation, because it used to always work for me, but Now toggling the FOMM archive invalidation off and then on doesn't work. I don't know what the deal was, but I uninstalled the whole game and reinstalled it and, so far, it's working again. These games like to crap out every now and then. Especially when I go to play another game for awhile. If I didn't know any better I'd think they were freaking jealous. Thanks for the reply though. I appreciate the brainstorm. luthienanarion
Archive Invalidation is a trick to get the game to load textures from outside the BSA archives instead of the ones located in them. It has nothing to do with the red < ! > symbols appearing in-game, because that object denotes a missing mesh. Any time you see the red-diamond-exclamation-point, it's there because a plugin pointed to a mesh that does not exist or is in the wrong location. It must have been the way NMM installed the mods then, because uninstalling the game and reinstalling it fixed the problem. I didn't have to touch the mods themselves, so I don't know exactly what happened.
