Reclaimer911
I must've downloaded some faulty mod or just not correctly installed it that this is happening. And of course it's not supposed to look like that. I went to check the Sunglare mod I have but no one else is having the same issue. It's just odd. http://i.imgur.com/vxRt7.jpg This is the second time this happened and I had to delete skyrim and reinstall it and all of my mods again. Needless to say, doing that again without being sure what mod is borking things up is annoying and impractical. Can anyone help me out here? How can I fix this? MShoap13
A list of what mods you're running could go a long way towards someone coming up with a viable solution. However, without knowing the mods you're using I'll go ahead and suggest you try reinstalling your sunglare mod and see if that fixes it. It's possible that the mod you're speaking of is simply a texture replacer and that you've overwritten it with a different replacer as part of a larger replacer pack. Reclaimer911
Ah but they're so many. I must have at least 40. :P However I'll try what you said. And I'll report back.
Reclaimer911
No dice. Still the same.
MShoap13
40 really isn't that many. It's not uncommon for people to run 300 or more plugins on Oblivion. NMM may or may not have a "print load order" option in it somewhere so that you can easily copy and paste the plugins you're running. It's obviously not a texture as neither the default nor any modified textures look like that to my knowledge. Are you running ENBseries or Realistic Lighting Without Post Processing? Reclaimer911
I thought Realistic Lightning was the problem so I didn't install it on this second run, but it wasn't. ENBseries.. no. I'm installing it for a third time and begging to Talos it works. I won't install the texture mods just to be safe.
Reclaimer911
....well this is certainly interesting. Seems like the issue is NOT mod related. It actually is on only one of my characters. This boggles me completely, why would the sky be borked in one of my many characters on vanilla? I guess the save is somehow corrupted. But I have no idea how to fix it. MShoap13
Sounds like realistic lighting may have saved a value or two into your character. It may or may not be possible to use it to change that value back to default (or close), make a new save, and then uninstall it leaving the "fixed" value saved into that character. I'm not sure how much modding knowledge would be required to pull this off. It may be a simple value change in a config file (assuming there is one) or you may have to do some plugin delving/editing. Obviously trial and error could also come into play here.
