Mods wont install/ invisible items/ personal help?

Hello,

Ive been having issues with several mods. They do show up in my workshop lists but theyre invisible so I cant place anything. (for example, thematic and practical wont show)

Ive tried several things to fix this issue alrdy. Now I'm looking for someone who's willing to personally help an idiot like me and maybe walk me through a fix. As in talking to me directly via TS or w.e or steam.

Ive read so much about fixes that I'm sure I'm just overlooking a simple thing. Maybe someone has a soft spot for people new to mods?

I hope one of you can help me,

thank you!

Did you install them through NMM, or did you install them manually?

Honestly, it sounds like you're having trouble with mod conflicts. Have you tried to see how your load order looks in FO4Edit?

Im installing mods through NMM. But I did try and install some of the ones that wouldnt work through NMM, manually.

I just downloaded FO4Edit to see what you mean cuz I havent tried that yet. Im not sure how to use it tho. At least nothing flashed up? But I think it only recognizes a mod I tried installing once through the mod section in game. Which I didnt end up using though.

This is what FO4Edit shows me: https://gyazo.com/4c56ab5def1cb09ade53e5a9d6c6f6cd

But this is my NMM load order: https://gyazo.com/d34b2b30d99c3d12454fc39c36b936e2

If FO4Edit won't show the mod, then the mod hasn't been installed to your game DATA folder.

Maybe your mods are being installed to a virtual folder or something.

Thing is that it doesnt show any of my mods installed via NMM. Eventho most of them in there work perfectly fine. The ones that dont, are the ones that Im tlkn about in my OP and are invisible in game. So maybe Ive set FO4Edit up wrong or something? I have no clue :/

FO4Edit shows every esp that I have in the game's DATA folder, regardless if the mod is actually enabled in-game or not.

NMM is probably putting your mods in a virtual folder, not the physical DATA folder.

I completely agree with Steve40. If you don't see it in FO4Edit then something is wrong. Now I will add to that though. MO2 had a virtual folder feature and for FO4Edit to work properly you were required to load FO4Edit directly from MO2. You couldn't run FO4Edit from outside MO2 using a desktop shortcut. I don't use NMM since I use Wrye Flash, but I would at least try to launch FO4Edit directly from NMM. I can't tell you how to set that up since I don't use NMM but it should be fairly easy.

I dislike the in game mods tab but another way to verify that NMM installed the mods is to go in game and look for the plugin. If you activate it in game and it's deactivated in NMM then you are not using the proper versions of Fallout 4 and NMM. Remember that you should have the latest NMM and Fallout 4 1.9.4. If you have an older version of Fallout 4 then I'd say minimum 1.5.157 or higher or recent versions of NMM will simply not work with your version of the game.

Thanks for your responses, guys! I was under the impression that steam automatically updates my game, so I thought I was alrdy up to date? Where can I check which version I'm running, cuz Ive never paid attention to that. lol :/ Also, I will look into the thing that Sharlikran said asap and check if I can run FO4Edit through NMM. I didnt know thats even possible.

Thanks for all the help so far tho! <3
