Maxing Havok - Skyrim Spanked!

My specs are in my sig. With the latest patch, heavy .ini optimization, and multithreading of course, I'm able to run extremely high quality ENB.

And it's a smooth thirty fps (very playable for an rpg, as long as it's capped).

What do you mean capped? Why and how? Thanks

What's that mod that gives all your screenshots that warm, slightly hazy look?

I'm running on maxed out ultra as well:

Everything stays nice and cool... I've never seen my GPU hit over 65C. I haven't actually measured, but I'm guessing I have around 30-40fps. It's not liquid smooth, but there is never any chugging and it's more than playable.

I would think it would be the enb sharer mod to get that look

Having tried enb I prefer the fxaa post processor mod with anti aliasing enabled - it does a much better job of blending the tree foliage than the in built fxaa once you've tweaked the settings.

With vurts flora overhaul you should be able to get an almost photo realistic look to forests with the right anti aliasing combinations.

There are a few ways to do this;

- Use your driver to lock 'vsync'

- Use ENB/FXAA to 'fake' the persistent vsync

- Tweak the ini

I posted mine in the OP. This will effectively "cap" your max FPS to 30FPS or whatever you like. Pretty sure most use 30 since anything more is generally overkill.

Months of tweaking ini's, ENB and FXAA settings.

Seriously.

Your machine runs fine now, give ENB/FXAA a whirl, make sure to set AmbientOcclusion and IndirectLighting to true. Your rig will beg for mercy. :)

From my experience, some of the best visual mods one can do for this game are the texture replacement mods, especially when enough energy is put into producing good normal maps. However, I've noticed there are a lot of great texture mods that are ruined because of poor quality normal maps, so most of my replacement landscape textures were ones that I did myself.
