littlefriend Posted February 2, 2012 Share Posted February 2, 2012 A couple new issues have sprouted up recently. The first is that Skingrad Castle is missing. All I can see are the tops of the towers. Everything was fine, I loaded up a game headed to the castle, Boom, no castle. No new mods have been installed in weeks. The next issue is that the main door to Chorrol Castle doesn't work from the inside. There's no icon to activate it and if I walk into it I fall until I am replaced in front of the door. Also, there is a door that is just a black void in somewhere by the west tower past the tower arch or whatever. Every mod that I currently have installed has been running for weeks and weeks with no other issue other than this spell/enchantment renaming issue I've already posted. Both issues cropped up overnight out of nowhere and affect all of my saves. I have uninstalled a number of mods hoping to target the issue but I've had no luck so far. I'm really just hoping that someone knows exactly what may be causing the issues. My best suggestion is that you start looking for the problem there. :/ Best of luck! EDIT: After looking at your earlier loadlist in a post further down I see that it contains better cities while this does not. I'm pretty sure the problem is caused by some files from better cities still overriding the vanilla ones. Shouldn't everything be pretty clean already concerning that? Edit2 - It's not IWR. Also, it's all of Skingrad, not just the castle. All the buildings are floating. :wallbash: Did you remake your bashed file after uninstalling better cities? Also, are the floating buildings solid, or can you walk right through them? I once installed a mod that altered the landscapes around Skingrad. And after uninstalling it, things looked really weird, and textures were being put in places that lacked meshes even after I removed all associated files. I never really managed to fix the issue, so in the end I just reinstalled the mod and everything looked fine after that. How about you download a mod that directly affects the castle, such as "ImpeREAL Empire - Unique Castles" and see what happens? I have a backup of my Oblivion folder from a stable modded install. I'm just going to load that up, and see if that fixes things. If not it's probably the save files themselves, in which case, after 80 hours, I'll probably just say "eff it" and start on Skyrim. :yes: Edit - Well, even after a fresh install with no mods installed (other than my demon skin) I'm still getting the invisible castle and floating buildings in Skingrad.
