redeyesandlonghair
So I have an odd problem. When I'm crouched and using a Combat Shotgun, it shoots the floor right in front of my feet, instead of where I'm aiming. None of my other guns are doing this, just the combat shotgun. I took a look in FO3Edit and can't see any entries in there from any of my mods that seem like they would do this. Any ideas where to look for what value is causing this to happen? Jeoshua
Animation mod + an Ironsights mod are conflicting. The problem is in the .nif and .kf files, not the esps.

I use Fallout 3 Reanimated and RH_Ironsights. Think I should be able to fix this with nifskope?
Jeoshua
No no.. I forget the exact specifics, but the order in which you installed the files matters. If you used FOMM, uninstall the one you installed last. Then try to reinstall it and when it asks to overwrite any file with "...is.kf" at the end of it, tell it no. If you did it manually, then try reinstalling the older file and overwriting everything. Edited February 5, 2012 by Jeoshua

As far as animation is concerned, the shotgun is actually pointing where I an aiming... like say I'm aiming at a wall about 10ft in front of me, it looks like I am aiming it at the wall. The only thing that is going wrong is that when I pull the trigger, the shot impacts the ground at my feet. If I aim the shotgun above the wall, then the shot hits the wall, below where I am actually aiming, even though animation-wise, it looks like I'm pointing my shotgun up in the air. The thing is, it looks like the shotgun uses the same animation files as other 2handed rifles, but other 2handed firearms aren't showing this problem as far as I can tell, that's why I'm wondering if it's really a problem with the animations
redeyesandlonghair
ah ha. apparently there's a 2h ballistics animation, and 2h automatic... well now I know where the problem is... now I just have to figure out how to fix it xD
eoai53
Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem but don't use RH_Ironsights. Uninstalling Fallout 3 Reanimated fixes it but I want to use that mod. Update:In case anybody else googles this problem, replacing the combat shotgun with this Saiga replacement fixes the problem and allows the Reanimated mod to work, it may work with other replacements as well. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/15012/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout3%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D15012&pUp=1 Edited June 4, 2017 by eoai53
