Specs for modded fallout 4 at 1080p

Hello

I wanted to ask if the combo i5-7400 + RX 470 4GB would be enough for a modded fallout 4 with enb's at 1080p ?

Or should i go for RX 480 4GB ?

And since i am not going anywhere above 1080p, 4GB of vram is enough right?

Thanks

I'd advise going for an 8gb gpu if you can, due to Fallout 4 causing vram spikes because of the texture streaming (particularly noticable when entering a new cell, can cause temporary game freezes)

Also, 8gb is preferable if your going to use any ENB/Reshade's that are hardware intensive, especially if your going to also use a lot of 2k or 4k retextures. Futureproofing.

To add to agreatweight, I'd say 4gb VRAM is definitely not enough for a heavy ENB setup.

I run a maxed out ENB at 1920x1200, and I monitor constantly with Rivatuner Statistics Server. I have a gtx1060 6gb VRAM with 16gb system RAM, and even then I get heavy pagefile usage. This game depends on memory, and it gets big performance increases from memory speed and memory capacity.

RX470 is marginal for a heavy ENB setup, it will be fine outside the city, but it will get tanked at places like Postal Square, Fallen Skybridge, and Faneuil hall. Go for RX480, and try for the 8gb version. There is nothing out there that is as demanding as FO4 with ENB.

Im currently running

i5 7600K OC 4.8GHz

16GB Vengeance 3200MHz Ram

ASUS ROG STRIX A8 GTX 1080 SLI

I had the GPU's with my AMD build, I had a FX 8350 OC 4.7GHz and the game just sucked. One card or Two I was only getting an average high of 28FPS in downtown Boston with stuttering and the low being 10FPS. I tried every trick in the book and just could not get the game to function the way I wanted. Once I went intel im Maxed out at 85FPS (My custom Limit) in downtown Boston. That being said I still get large dips once in a while but I blame piss poor optimization. I would say yes your system should work. How well it works would depend on how you tweak your Graphics and tweak your .ini's
