elf25s
i have a non steam copy of skyrim for my day of doom aka birthday from my wife and installed it on two PC one is the one i use the other one my 5 year old uses( do not laugh the brat slays dragons better than i can, and also plays quake wars and no she is a viscious backstabbing brat to bots she plays against)i recently decided to get some mods to make the game more fun for my little one (my little pony dragon mod, she does like her ponies.) so i just wanted to make it easy on myself by using nexus mod manager. now here is my problem under no circumstance will i connect that pc my daughter is using to the net even by proxy unfortunetly nexus mod manager insists on connecting to the internet.now i would like to know is there away to make the nexus mod manager to work offline? BTW sorry but there is no way in hell that machine i build for her will connect to the net since i not only disabled but also removed components physicaly to make the connecton to the net or another pc impossible. any updates i makke are strictly by CD\dvd rom that means no USB sticks or blue tooth no ethernet I\O just keyboard and monitor plus mouse that is it. sorry but the machine i build for her is strictly Stand A alone Machine used 98 % for educational programs that do not require net access. ( she only plays other games when i allow it with my admin rights) machine runs windows 7 ultimate 32 bit 2 gig ram and quad intel proccessor duo with 100 gb hard drive nvidia 512 mb card bought at garage sale. There may be an update for the Mod Manager to allow you to use it offline in the future, but for now it has to be connected to the Internet. Sorry. On a side note, however, how are you managing to even PLAY Skyrim on that PC? 32-bit with 2Gigs of RAM? Really, I'm intrigued...

Really, I'm intrigued...on low settings and in window mode it runs ok my machine has more ram and more horsepower...( custom build server type machine with 2 proccessors on MB so no probs running it there)unlike my daughters...weirdly enough i had not noticed any difference even when i ran 4 gb mod on her machine ...i also get few experimental chips now and then too recently was testing 8 core chip proccessor but to be honest i am not too impressed... frankly i found it slower but thats because of memory constrictions...unles they get memory and proccessor on the chip to work toghether it will be an ongoing problem...( no i do not share nor do i give info where i get them sorry so do not ask) Edited February 4, 2012 by elf25s
