I guess I might want to look into a new video card. I've searched for an hour without finding any info on my problem. Unlike all the other topics I've seen regarding crashes in Blackreach, my problem has almost nothing to do with the lifts. My game crashes to desktop (with no error message or anything, it just closes without any warning at all) when I try to reach a certain area. If you look at the map on UESP, you can imagine a line running from north to south passing about halfway between "War Quarters" and the Skyrim exit to the west. If I try to head further west than that line, my game will crash. It will also crash if I attempt to access Blackreach through the lifts at Mzinchaleft or the Tower of Mzark, because those are behind the line. I have no idea what is causing the problem. My game version is 1.3.10.0 and the only mod that I am using is SkyUI. I've gone through this area before in a previous game (although that was when my game version was still 1.1 I think). But I've also gone through the area in my current game with no problems. In fact, I had just finished getting the Elder Scroll and the inscribed lexicon. After dropping off my loot I decided to go back in and finish collecting the crimson nirnroots only to encounter this problem. I hadn't downloaded or installed anything, nor changed any settings between leaving Blackreach and going back in.
