QuadRioters
Hi, I am looking for the way to properly arrange the gun mod list in the Crafting Menu so I can list the worst to the best gun/armor mods in order, either in GECK or FO4EditExampleAutomatic ReceiverAdvanced Automatic ReceiverHarden Automatic ReceiverSemi-Auto Receiverforce to Semi-Auto ReceiverAutomatic ReceiverHarden Automatic ReceiverAdvanced Automatic ReceiverHowever, I have been trying to change ID, name, comparing with other guns. I could not find the way how to force arranging it. It seems to be in random order as well.Thank you.
WhiskeyRiver2
IIRC those lists are sorted alphabetically, then by cost (whether that's materials or caps I'm not sure).
Greslin
IIRC those lists are sorted alphabetically, then by cost (whether that's materials or caps I'm not sure). I believe it's by cap value. IIRC, there's no real way to absolutely set the order. The game engine does the ordering based on modcol records (for grouping), cap value and overall requirements for making the mod. QuadRioters
@WhiskeyRiver2@GreslinThank you for your respond. The modcol and value are in order, so I did the test earlier and found out that the list is affected by the Alphabet alone. As I name the gun mod part Zreactor, it lists itself last. However, there are official items and custom mods that have them listed in non-alphabetical order but by the price range or other unknown factor. I have no earthly idea of how. :( Edited April 5, 2017 by QuadRioters
Nutulator
Not sure about gun mods but I know that for constructible objects there's a priority field you can fill out. Have you spotted any priority setting in the gun mod section? Edited April 5, 2017 by Nutulator
QuadRioters
Every priority I saw were all set to zero, whether its Bethesda or custom mods. So far, I have made modcol level, price range and perk requirement in order. I have tried- I do name my file differently.RAWLauncher_modcol_scope_any instead of modcol_PlasmaGun_Barrels_AutoI highly doubt that this affect anything but I tried to name it modcol_RAWLauncher_scope_anyIt didn't work either.- Name the mod file (not in-game name) RAWLauncher_mod_receiver1 2 3 4 5 instead of their actual name.It didn't work...- So far only to name them (in-game name) like 1. Good Receiver 2. Better Receiver 3. Best Receiver. Work...- Naming and ID does not seem to matter as well. Nutulator
Oh, so there is a priority. You need to change that then. Zero is the highest priority and if two items have the same priority they will be arranged alphabetically. Edit: I should have read your original post more carefully, you mentioned Crafting Menu, you mean the Weapon Workbench? And are these receivers in the constructible object files? Then yes, changing the priority should determine how they're arranged. Edited April 5, 2017 by Nutulator
QuadRioters
Changing priority does nothing whether it's in the Crafting Menu or the gun mod itself. :(
Nutulator
Yeah, looked at it a bit as well and it's not working. I guess priority doesn't work for that.
GothikaGeist
Change the Value of the mod itself. I think you can do that in its recipe. Essentially, the Value of the mod ITEM, the ones stored in the Misc section of the Pipboy, determines the order of weapon mods in the crafting menus.
