nexus464
Hello, I've completed Taste of death, went through all the stages and yet "Speak to brother Verulus about the Hall of the Dead" remains in the journal under Miscellaneous quests. I need help to remove the entry please, I tried using the console with the quest ID - <DA11intro> for part one and <DA11> for the main part that follows but Nada! Thanks. kevkiev
I think there's a lot of quests that leave you with straggly entries. I have a bunch of "Collect Bounty from Skald"s and "Collect Bounty from Brina Mira.. something"s along with a "Give a Dragon Bone to Esbern", "Bring Frost Salts to Dravnyea" and a "Get Greta to Visit the Temple of Divines" still hangin' in my journal despite completing the associated quests. Afaik, there's no cure except maybe the Unofficial Skyrim Patch which I don't personally use. It's just something I live with. I avoid bounties that I have to collect in Dawnstar to avoid cluttering up my journal even more.

I've been lucky so far in that the only orphaned journal entry I have is "Talk to the leader of the Companions about work." But I completed the Companions quest line and I am the leader of the Companions. Does that mean I should start talking to myself? http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/biggrin.gif

Even after completing the main Companion quests, you can ask the various members of the Circle for quests (I think the entry is "ask the leaders.") Including "Purity" from Vilkas and Farkas(though that one's bugged for me) the "Totems of Hircine" from Aela and a literally endless supply of radiant quests from those NPCs and Skjor. Actually, you might be able to do Purity and the Totems one before completing the main companion line, I dunno. But you can do 'em afterwards too. But, yeah, I never gave much thought to that before - even though the Harbinger is the leader, the game considers the other members of the Circle as the leaders. Go figure. Geez, another example of, for all your char does in this game, he or she just can't shake the stigma of being just another shmuck

Another reason why I shouldn't play Skyrim into the wee hours. I don't know how but I completely missed the fact that the "ask for work" quest markers are back over the other Companions. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/rolleyes.gif I suppose I was stuck in the mindset that when you're the top honcho in an organization, you usually delegate the work, not ask for work from a subordinate. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/tongue.gif Edited July 23, 2012 by gryph72
