Dark Brotherhood Continues...

I am working on a continuation of The Dark Brotherhood. Since I found the Dark Brotherhood to be very short, but still fun and all, I decided to start working on a mod for it.

 

I need some help on what content I should add in, for example: Other Brotherhood Locations, More Unique quests, Brotherhood Shops, a Small Brotherhood "town", and idea's of that sort.

 

Here are my current plans are to:

+Add Brotherhood Imperial City Sanctuary - Located in the Waterfront District.

+Add 21 Unique quests - And all there NPC's to go with them.

+Add new Brotherhood 'Secret' Shop in Market District - Where you can by Poisons and items like the Poisoned Apple.

+Add 'Hidden' quests and 'Dead Drop' quests. - Random locations through out the game.

+Add 4 new Unique dungeons. - Probably be mainly quest related or a 'Optional' quest related.

 

What are some other things I should add to this?

 

I find it to be pretty basic on what I am doing so what are your ideas for this?

 

Also if I figure out how to script a option to ask a NPC to follow you I will add that too, but I am not sure on how I would script that since I am very new at Modding. I thought that would be fun to make someone follow you into a alley and you can then kill them there.

 

So tell me what you think on my Idea.

Sounds great- but hard work for just one person, especially someone who's confused about scripting. If you want to get someone to follow you for a quest, look through the vanilla quests, specifically ones that use following like the Skingrad Mages Guild recommendation (I think it's MG03 or something) andd copy and past the command over, changing it to your needs! I do agree, the dark brotherhood doesn't actually take that much time to go through. Were you planning on adding these things before or after you complete the dark brotherhood, because

listener's don't actually do that much in the way of killing.

so better to add them before? For the new sanctuary, perhaps

when you cleanse the cheydinhal sanctuary

you get told about it? Like, lucien says, now if you need a place to sleep, head over to the imperial city waterfront, and find the door in the ground. Here is a key. Or something. Just ideas! I'm looking forward to the release of this already.

I'm very enthused of the idea of this as well! And I'm honestly not trying to be a Jerk or anything, but maybe this is a little to ambitious for the first crack out of the box? Not that I am confused about scripting. I am just new to this type. I am a professional C++, LUA, SQL, and other Emulation related scrips.

 

To be honest it isn't very hard for what I normally do. Hehe, try scripting a program that Emulates the worlds largest MMORPG ( WoW ) so you can play for free and have very low amounts of bugs, but we are on Rev 43xx so yeah.... Now that is a lot different then this I do understand, but it is not like I don't got the skill or I don't got experience with coding and things like this.

 

I am planning on adding this while you are still newer to the brotherhood and so it will add a lot more content to it.

 

And I will make some of the quests for after you are done.

 

The current progress I am at with the Mod is 5 quests done and 5 new locations to go with it. Almost all of the new Imperial City Sanctuary is done, I am at the point of just adding the books and that and making the place look nice. I am just finishing the Imperial Market District up where I am adding a secret area and adding a shop there it is going good.

Hmmm.....

 

Maybe a quest where you had to get a target to kill himself? You could plant evidence to make him think his wife was cheating on him, kill his dog, make him lose his job, and bribe some guards to give him a hard time so eventually he gets so pissed and depressed he just jumps off a cliff?

How about another quest where you had to frame the target for a previous murder you had commited yourself, and you have to plant sufficient evidence to get a convitction so the Empire will do the dirty-work for you...
