PicklePackle
I recently made a mod load order for Skyrim. Everything seemed to work as they should, except for one thing. Most of the sounds are missing. Now, some are still there, such as the weapon sheathing/unsheathing and the sound effect that plays when you open up the menu, but other than that, all the sounds are missing. There no music, there no ambient sound effects, and there's no voice acting. (The NPC's lips don't even move when they talk.) So, reinstalled Skyrim to its vanilla state, hoping that would fix it, but the sounds are nonexistent even there, so it's not an issue with the installed mods. (unless Steam cloud did something.) In the Skyrim/Data folder, in both my modded Skyrim folder and my vanilla folder, there is no Sound folder, however I can't remember if the Sound is supposed to be there in the first place, or if it was something added in by mods. You can tell me. During researching the issue, I found a thread about a person with the same issue as me. He discovered that there was a missing line of code in the Skyrim.ini file that was removed during his mod installation.(Here is the thread I'm talking about https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/876289-help-no-voice-in-skyrim/ )In it, he discovered there was a line of code in the Skyrim.ini file that was removed during his mod installation (sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa), so he restored it, and it was working again. However, when I checked MY Skyrim.ini, I found that line perfectly intact. So again, whatever he had was not the issue. Lastly, I found some people say that Nexus Mod Manager can mess with your files when installing mods, so that could be the problem, but I don't know. Anyway, that's all the information I have. I await a response. :P
WinglessPrune
Hi, I have the exact same problem, everywhere I look seems to end in a dead end for me. Where some things seem to work for others, nothing works for me...
