Antiscamp
Yep. It's Anvil Nova. It won't look much like the town it's named after though. If there's one town I'll rename on my map, it's "New Balmora" though, because I just guess everyone modding stuff for Skyrim will be using that name. Antiscamp
Check out the Frontier videos. Here's the epic Theme for Frontier, "Benedictus" by the Greek composer Zero-Project: and here's a preview of the city of Anvil Nova:
ResolveThatChord
Extremely promising! I love the city layout. And that's a fanstastic theme. If I may humbly offer my own inane two cents, I'd suggest making it more visually distinct from the vanilla towns and cities. What you're offering is a whole new wordlet to explore, which is amazing, but if it feels just like the places we've already been that will undermine any sense of discovery.Custom architecture and textures are difficult (without Meo, at any rate), but you could create a consistent visual style with decoration such as banners, flora, and other surface detail. Having all the NPCs dress differently to Skyrim would also help.If I'm correct in assuming this is a newly built and growing town, you could for example place scaffolding and cranes where appropriate. Perhaps even a house in the beginning stages of construction (you could use those ruined house assets like the one in Morthal). It's also a port town, so conveying a busy, bustling attitude would definitely set it apart from the vanilla towns, which mostly feel as if they've seen little change over hundreds of years.Anyway, best of luck! natula123
Wow..... Wow is all I think as I sit here listening to your theme  . This mod is the one I am looking forward to greatly. You've come so far and the work so far is amazing. This looks like a game in itself.
Antiscamp
Thanks for the tips, ResolveThatChord. I want the south of the continent to look quite like Skyrim or Cyrodiil and in a way familiar. The more north you get on the continent, the more different it gets. The fact that things do look familiar in the south, will strenghten the feeling I want to give that this is a civilized colony which is also trying very hard to be a part of the civilized world. Like the European colonies in America, or Roman in Britain and so on. In the north though, that's where the Morrowind-weirdness starts :D Thank you, Natula123, for your kind comments. This will indeed be a game in itself when I'm done with it. I have all the time in the world this time around, unlike when I did Dibella's Watch for Oblivion when I had Skyrim's release as a deadline. :)
Falconian
Antiscamp, if I got it right this will be a sort of "wasteland defense" for Skyrim? Or just a new land with quests? You said you can "rule and build his own town and castle" but that means player will be attacked, will have to deal with resources and his population or just build and forget? Thanks in advance.
