Caedeis
Hi, I've tried to enable the console in my Mac version of the game but have been unsuccessful. I've added the code line to the end of my config file in preferences with VIM and I've changed the Key Bindings for Open Console to X but it doesn't work - for example, pressing I still brings up my inventory. It also didn't work when I used Grave as the command. Here's the last few lines of my config file via terminal: ;; App default settings;; Ereg[AppDefaults\\eReg.exe\\transgaming]"Disable" = "Y" [AppDefaults\daorigins.exe\transgaming]"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole" I do have another config file in my Preferences folder but it's titles "config.old" instead of just config, I've yet to try these changes with it because I don't want to mess anything up. Do you think changing the "daorigins.exe" to "daorigins.dmg" would help at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thandal
Google is your friend. Found after 0.25 sec (first result): Go to the folder ~/Library/Preferences/Dragon Age Origins Preferences/ (if you are on Lion and cannot see your Library folder, just hold shift-apple-g and copy & paste the line there). Open the "config" file with TextEdit and add the following to the end of it: [AppDefaults\daorigins.exe\transgaming]"cmdlineadd" = "-enabledeveloperconsole" This will enable the console ingame. Note that uploading characters or achievements might no longer work with the console enabled. The standard key to open the console ingame is Tilde. You can change this key by editing the file "KeyBindings.ini" in ~/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings/. Look for the line "OpenConsole_0=".Link to original. Caedeis
In this case, Google is not my friend because I already did that (as stated) and it did not work.
Thandal
Since other Mac users are successful using this method, I can't help you. ("I'm a PC" since 1984...)
