ViralDust
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Every time Steam updates my exe with a new patch, I always try it out, find it more laggy than before (despite their "performance optimizations") and roll back to an older version. Right now I'm using 1.3.7 with zero lag, but if I try to use anything newer, even still a 1.3, I have awful mouse lag and keyboard lag (Yes, I have done v-sync and mouse acceleration). 1.3.7 was (I think) before Beth did their official 4GB patch, but I find that the official one does nothing, while one of the 4GB patches from the Nexus works beautifully. Am I missing out on anything in the newer versions? Is there any reason why a newer patch would lag more than an older one?
ScrollTron1c
Go with 1.4 (latest) and remove any kind of performance- or memory mods. Run the "verify integrity of cache files" in Steam and it should work just fine.Really the latest patch has the game running almost perfectly on my PC with a couple of mods like Skyrim HD. About Mouse lag, apparently there's some kind of special Vsync in the engine which can't be disabled with the drivers so just wait for the CK to come out.
