flameshiva
So with Fallout 4 you can have 255 mods ? do multiple esp files count as the separate counts for that ? for example I use Vadacils item sorting and have 18 EPS's for that mod alone. ibldedibble
Hi, it's 255 .esm and .esp files combined. So those 18 .esps all count towards the limit. I recommend trying to keep it around 200-220 for maximum stability. So if you have a lot of mods it's time to merge a few of the smaller ones. Elianora has made a good tutorial for that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh3Msli07Ug if you don't already know how to do that. Hope that helps! //Dibble
Kodiak412
Also there is a good chance that if you are over 200 you probably have a number of mods that overlap and do similar things. Go through your mods and see where you might have some duplication that you may not even need or use. Try pairing those mods down and see how much space it opens up for you. You may find that you have 3 mods that alter Piper but really you only care about 1 of them. That would let you uninstall 2 just for her alone. You probably have mods that you forgot completely about, this could give you some needed space, and could help with stability too.
flameshiva
Thanks alot both. I will check out that video. I have trimmed some down and I do have alot of weapon mods and they all turn up in the game so far but perhaps I should try and merge them using that video. I assume with FO4 edit, the right click, down the bottom to other and create merged patch that way does not work with Fallout 4 ?
