Arkillo1985
Hi, guys! Since I began playing Skyrim I installed several (and almost EVERY) weapon mods there are for adding new weaponry and armors to the game, but still even though I can forge every one of the new ones I realize enemies only use those ones that are standard to the game or just some of them.Example: I have Weapons of the Third Era and Armory of Tamriel installed and many enemies do use those blades, axes, an so on; but when it comes to Malos Weapons or Jaysus Swords, they don't carry any of them.As for armors, that doesn't happen that often as many of the mods I applied are just retextures and not an addition of new sets per se.So, question is: is there any chance that I can edit registries and variables so the game can apply any sword to any enemy randomly? If that so: how and what do I need to do?Apart from that, I suppose it's good to start learning how to mod the game so I can do some work for the everyone to use. Thanx in advance for the help! MShoap13
The proper way to do this is to append said weapons into a leveled list. If you dig around in a mod that already accomplishes this, it's more than possible to teach yourself to do so. However, on Oblivion at least, the game has issues with running multiple plugins that alter the same leveled list. If one plugin adds sword A to the possible weapons an enemy can carry, then another plugin loaded afterwards adds hammer B to the same list, only Hammer B will be seen on enemies as the appended list from the last plugin loaded will take precedent. If you run into this, copying all the entries, from all the mods that later that list, into one plugin file that loads after the plugins that actually incorporate the items into the game. Alternatively, it may be possible to use Wrye Bash's bashed patch function but I haven't actually used it for Skyrim, only heard that people are using it.
