My game just broke, running out of ideas/options.

I understand that, by why is the problem persisting after all plugins are disabled? plugins being a mess aside, I need the game to function without any additions, nevermind all of them activated just sorted differently.

Removing, disabling, and deleting plugins ( mods ) does NOT mean they are entirely removed from the game. Some mods make INI edits to your files and even if you delete the entire game folder and reinstall, you can still have left over traces from the mods. For instance, if you deleted the entire Fallout 3 folder and reinstalled the game, you can and most likely will have problems if you did not ALSO delete this folder as well - Documents\My Games\Fallout3.

There are files in there that every time you start the game up, Fallout3 loads them. Not deleting that folder simply means that your game is trying to load the old INI's from when you had problems before, these files in the Documents are regenerated each time you install and start the game up for the first time based on settings you picked in the vanilla launcher when the game detects your GPU ( video card ).

Do not use LOOT to sort your load list. It does not sort Fallout 3 mods correctly. If you must use a program to sort your mods, use B.O.S.S. http://boss-developers.github.io/

You should follow the advice given here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/652876-fallout-3-modding-and-you/

Why does this advice keep popping up. This excerpt is ON THE PAGE YOU LINKED:

Using mods for Skyrim, Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas? Use LOOT instead, as BOSS's support for those games is relatively poor and no longer maintained. Oblivion users can also use LOOT, but may find that BOSS performs better, depending on the mods they use.

OP I feel your pain. I am likewise balls deep in trying to fix my games, both Fo3 and New Vegas. That said, I've gotten them to where I can run for a few hours at a time between crashes.

I don't know how much you know or don't know, but it's best to start from scratch. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend watching Gopher's fantastic video series.

Watch it one by one and rewatch parts. It's hard, it's not logical, it's totally worth it- but it's designed for modding beginners.
