I hate how I feel after siding with the Institute..

but I love the tech side so I wish there were a mod that would allow me to use my General of the Minutemen status with my lead of the Institue to add helpful tech to my settlements. Once the Institue quest line ends I want to be able to redirect priorities of the Institute to be helpful to the Commonwealth such as better or more common docs, power from the reactor, synth defense as well as no more replacements and synths visually obvious (to bring trust from the surface people) but also treat synths with some respect to earn their loyalty. I am the leader and can shoot the face off any opposition, I should be able to choose the good path in the end...

This would also eliminate the need to slaughter the Railroad who could then refocus efforts, I feel dirty killing them also....

you know, it never made sense that we had to kill the railroad if we sided with the institute. And vice versa. I mean... our son just made us the new leader of the institute, and I'm on the railroad's side. That meant that the railroad would've won.. so it made no sense that Desdemona felt the need to be so anti-institute all the way.

The only reason why the institute told us to go kill them was because the railroad kept on getting in the way. so if we told them to lay low so that the institute wouldn't see them as an enemy... then why not go down that route?

As the new future leader, I think it would be logical for us to be able to broker a new peace truce between the railroad and the institute... show both sides that the enemy can be reasoned with, and even be brought around to your way of thinking.

Well, as this was posted in the mods request forum...

You could always RP that it happened the way you want it to by using various mods that let you place bits of institute technology in your settlements.

Homemaker has a bunch of building parts, greebles, and tech items, as do a number of other mods.

My own signs and posters mod includes some institute-friendly signs (not a lot so far, but I did just add a line of settlement signs done in Institute style).

With all of that available, you could make higher-tech settlements throughout the Commonwealth while still focusing on the Minutemen point of view....

I have already done this exact thing, an Institute medical building at some of my larger settlements, thats what got me thinking about how it could be expanded. Also included in several of my playthroughs are several of your signs and posters, great mod for customizing and decoration.
