making Oblivion less green

Does anyone know of a mod, or any method, of making Oblivion less bright green everywhere?

With mods, my dungeons look great, and many, many areas are visually impressive, but about half the land is lime green due to the bright green grass and textures. It's particularly bad around the Imperial Isle. I didn't notice so much before, but after coming back from Skyrim where the colors are much more varied and earthy I'd like a way to allow Oblivion to compete.

I don't know if there are any texture replacers geared toward desaturating the landscape and making it look drab. Usually texture replacers go for similar colors but high resolution. I have heard of a mod to make landscapes brighter, but you are seeking the opposite.

A mod like this would need to be an .espless texture replacer that replaced most of the landscape textures, and many of the trees and grasses. I am not sure if you would want to go so far as retexturing the plants that provide alchemical ingredients.

Because you like the current colors of your dungeons, you can't simply change the settings on your computer monitor to make everything look dull and washed-out like Skyrim. Things would also look kind of odd when you were using the Internet or using other applications on your computer.

obge has shader packages that reduce the saturation considerably. however it can rob your fps. I have no problem with liquid water but godrays has a big hit on my system despite it being reasonably high end.

One suggestion is to use an hd monitor that has adjustment for red, blue and green.

Ok, this very well might be nothing like what you're looking for, but it DOES change the shades of green used for the landscape. (And yes, I know it's silly to link to my own mod, but to be frank I don't know of many - any? - which change the shade of green for the landscape and grass and trees, etc.)

However, you will find it's not less saturated than Vanilla Oblivion - it's just a very different type of green. Anyhow, there are comparison shots in the gallery. May or may not suit you, but if nothing else it's quite different from the Vanilla greens.
