Ok so I just started using mods and I was only successful with one and i don't know what i did to make it work. But others ones that I have tried are just not working and I'm pretty sure its my fault cause I'm new to this. So I was wondering if anyone can help me out on how to do everything.

I already read:

http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#OBMM

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Tutorials.Detail&id=60

and still having problems so any help would be nice

Be sure to read the readme files of the mods you are trying to install. If they are good quality reputable mods, they will have clear instructions on how to install them and how to play them.

Be sure the mods have the boxes by them checked to activate the mods in your mod manager.

Be sure you installed all the meshes, textures, sounds, and things in the proper folders.

Be sure you are using a new enough version of OBSE for the mods that require it.

Be sure you know how to play the mods right. The mods might be working right, but you have not performed the proper action in-game to start the mods.

Be sure that you don't have junk mods that don't work for anybody. There is the small possibility that you have a mod that does not work for anybody no matter how hard they try. Such mods will usually have no endorsements and lots of negative comments and bug reports at the download point.

Be sure you are not having load order problems. One mod can often break another. Like if you have two leveled list overhaul mods, the second one will win and the first one will not seem to be working.

You may wish to write a more detailed post explaining what mods you are using, what is happening in your game, and how far along you got in the installation and testing process before you detected problems.

It sounds like they did a crumby job of documentation and you ought to leave a complaint at the download point so that they will know that they need to fix it.

My guess would be that you should put the LOD meshes at Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Landscape\LOD.

By normal maps, I would assume that you are referring to files with names in the format kind of like "6814038.00.00.32_FN.dds." These might go in Oblivion\Data\Textures\LandscapeLOD\Generated.

But these are just my guesses.

EDIT: I glanced at the download point, and these instructions are in the mod description:

II. Installation

Open the archive and drop the content into your <Nehrim>\Data folder. Make a backup of the meshes\landscape\lod and textures\landscapelod\generated folders before.
