Question about existing lich mods

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there could answer a question for me. I've played a character as a lich for a while and liked it very much but some of the existing limitations bother me. I've seen a few lich mods and they're basically all the same. The lich character is always a skeleton and you can't wear whatever armor you want. The reason given is that it's a limitation of the CS. Can someone tell me what is it in the CS that limits this. I've always liked playing as a lich but was trying to figure out if there's a way in scripting to get around these limitations. Anyone out there have any ideas how you can change you character to a lich form (maybe zombie texture or even a custom texture) and be able to wear standard armor. If I can get enough ideas I'll work on it myself. I have done scripting before but I've been programming my whole life in several computer languages and the scripting doesn't look that complicated.
