jsant949
Hello to all mod-makers and purveyors!I've a mod request that I have drawn a concept sketch for. It's an armor mod as you can see in the title. The armor will be that of an Ancient Nord Battlemage armor. More specifically, the armor of the battlemage Geirmund from the book Lost Legends. For those of you not in the know, Geiurmund was the Battlemage of Harald in the 1st era who was sent to hunt down the 3 Gauldurson brothers in the quest Forbidden Legend. It is his tomb (Named Giermund's Hall in game) in which we fight the middle brother, Sigdis. I have a total love for the battlemage play style, but I am constantly disappointed in the lack of armored mage choices. So with this mod I hope to remedy that in the most lore friendly way possible. Obviously my main problem is.... I lack any appreciable skill at mod making in general. So, I would be over the friggen 2 moons if I could get help on this. The mod needs to be lore friendly so I've sought to make the stats between leather and glass armor with light armor status. To obtain the armor would be as simple as going through the Forbidden Legend questline, as I intend to have it in a chest in Giermund's Hall. Figuring out possible enchants can be done later if the mod is picked up. In making this armor mod I hope to make a non-intrussive and lore-friendly option for true nords who want to sling spells and take names while wearing something other than their average school robes. (Which are lame) Thanks to all who took the time to read this! Hope you are all as interested in this concept as I am. I will include an image of the concept sketch and other assets involved can be found in Skyrim (which I will direct whomever picks up this mod to). Please contact me here or in direct message. Alexmancer
That's funny, because this is something I've been looking for for the past few years for my Oldrim playthrough. I really wanted the Ancient Nordic chest armor paired with the college robes and armored boots/gloves that I would wear with a dragon priest mask most likely. I also lack the skills to create such a set, but it seems a mash-up could work. I've noticed when people make armor mash-ups with college robes, they often use the one that goes across the chest, and for some reason, I hate the look of that one. The coat version looks far more right to me. Instead of having the armor in a chest though, would it not work to have him wearing it instead?
